an array of letters: a lexicon

an array of letters: a lexicon is a thirty-page zine exploring language and textile art. this zine originated as my first crochet project, freehand crochet of the alphabet using scrap yarn. i have chosen a single word for each letter of the alphabet. these are words that sound beautiful to me, that i have a deep connection with or words that bring back strong memories. this is my array of letters, a lexicon of my mind. my process for creating this zine can be simply summarised into nine steps: 1. scanning the crochet pieces 2. resizing the pieces 3. printed them 4. warped the images using a scanner 5. edited the images 6. printed them again 7. freehand collaged the images 8. rescanned them 9. edited them a final time
